Custodian's new album "Live! From The Chambers" is a lot different than expected. Custodian has a reputation of being a joke artist with nothing to really offer outside of that but I actually find a lot of his music entertaining and at times can actually be quite creative. The album starts off strong, opening with what is easily the best track on the album for me. This title track is a great way to open the album, the mixing was great, the beat was nice, the lyrics were clever and entertaining and we are introduced to some of Custodians stronger flows on the project. The track is easy to listen to and is genuinely catchy. I had a couple of issues with the track lyrically but the positives out way the negatives so heavily that you'll forget about the issues once your listening to the track for the third time.

The next couple of tracks following the title track "Live! From The Chambers" aren't great or necessarily very memorable. Other then a couple of funny lines and decent beats the tracks feel underproduced with some issues mixing wise, yet I can also understand how that style of production was intentional but it doesn't change that fact the tracks aren't appeasing to listen to and because of that they come off as boring especially with the album being so high energy and fast-paced. The highest point of this album is the stretch of tracks Pepsi, Rocket and Andrew Davis! All three of these tracks are what you want from an album like this. They have some great production value, the flows are great, the music is genuinely funny and entertaining and you can tell a lot of effort was put into each of the tracks from a writing and production perspective. Another thing I enjoyed with these tracks was how on point everyone's delivery was, one issue I had with the earlier tracks was that the delivery was questionable but Custodian nails his delivery perfectly on all three tracks. Actually, Custodian nails his delivery and flows on the rest of the album. I think the biggest problem with this album is that there are definitely some tracks that just don't sound great and just feel boring. Custodian has proved he can make great and funny songs so when a track isn't good it really stands out. One thing I loved about the album was the sampling, custodian uses great samples and integrates them extremely well throughout the album. I didn't like some of the features on this album, like stadsfeet would have been a great track with a better-featured verse or if it was just Custodian. I don't think the feature ruins the track but it definitely stands out as weak, which sucks because everything else about the track is amazing. I really really liked how each track was very different and unique, though Custodian does a great job at following a theme and having the album flow very well he also does a great job at using many different styles to keep every track fresh and different. At this point, Custodian is clearly a capable and talented producer that has legitimate mc skills and an ability to write clever and funny punchlines. You can get a great sense of his personality through his music and that is a huge reason why his music can be so enjoyable, fun and entertaining. You can tell a lot of effort is put into the music and he has some serious talent especially from a flow perspective. Custodian gives you a lot to love on this album! Though there are definitely underwhelming tracks, Custodian showcases great talent and skill. Despite some of the issues I've highlighted in this review the positives outweigh the negatives so much that I can't help but be impressed and surprised with how well this album turned out. I'd definitely recommend you give this album a listen because I had a lot of fun listening to it and it is actually quite good.
